This mystery is a virtual event happening in our Mystery Five-0 Facebook Group in February and March, with the reveal in April.  A mystery clue will be emailed to registered quilters each week in March. The reveal patterns (yes, there aretwo choices for setting your blocks) will be emailed in April. Instructional videos for each clue and the reveal patterns will be posted in our Facebook group.

Quilters register to participate in Luau by purchasing $50 (or more) in-store or online, including fabric, notions,batting, classes, quilting services, or M50 gift certificate for later use. Both settings for  Luau differ in size (Luau Torches 65”x83” and Luau Feast 75”x75”) and feature the same SEVEN beautiful fabrics. Our carefully curated kits reveal ALL of the fabrics we’ve chosen for Luau – no mystery here – you get EXACTLY what you see. OR, if you want to dig into your stash, we will share a video (late February) in our Facebook Group that will help guide you with your fabric choices.While the name of the quilt is Hawaiian-themed, the design of the finished quilts are NOT.  Choose fabrics thatappeal to you, and you are sure to love your finished quilt.

As you stitch through four beautifully crafted clues, you’ll follow our intrepid fabric sleuth, Lara Langston, during a quiet stay on Maui between island-hopping tour seasons. She plans to finish her quilts... but theislands have other ideas.

One morning, a hand-made luau invitation—from an event discontinued fifty years ago—appears mysteriously beneath Lara’s door. Everyone connected to the old gathering is long gone... or so the island believes. Why was Lara chosen to receive this relic from the past? And who delivered it in the dead of night?

Want to participate? It's easy! To register to participate in Island Hopping, purchase $50 Island Hopping passport for later use. This passport is essentially a $50.00 gift card that you can use now through December 2, either in-store or online. You can put is towards anything you would like! It does not need to be mystery related.

Both settings for Island Hopping differ in size (Island Hopping Vacation 68.5”x86.5” and Island Hopping Adventure 71.75”x91.75”) and feature seasonal or holiday fabrics.
