We will be spending the weekend at Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in Spotsylvania, Virginia! Kalahari offers a unique all-under-one-roof experience so guests can maximize their time on-site. In addition to top-notch meeting space, Kalahari offers world-class dining restaurants, award-winning indoor/outdoor attractions, retail shopping, and more. This experience transforms from an obligation one family member has to attend to one the entire family enjoys.
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is located off I-95 near Dominion Raceway & Entertainment, 45 minutes from Richmond, 1 hour from Washington, D.C., 1.5 hoursfrom Charlottesville and a short drive from many other East Coast metropolitan areas.

Sewing Space
You have 24-hour access to your sewing table, ironing stations, and cutting tables in our beautiful 14,00 square foot ballroom. The Kalahari is still under construction and we will have more images once the facility opens at the end of November.

All Inclusive - Hotel, refreshments, meals, and sewing space
Single Occupancy Retreat Attendee: $1299
Double Occupancy with Two Re-Treat Attendees*: $2198
($1099 each)
*Sharing one bed. Both occupants will be sewing in the retreat room and have access to all meals, beverages, and snacks.
Retreat: The fee $600 and is paid to Material Girls.
Hotel: You will receive a link to reserve your room at our special rate. You will pay one night (plus tax/fee) at the time of reservation and the remainder at the time of check in.
Single Occupancy Retreat Attendee: $1099
Double Occupancy with Two Re-Treat Attendees*: $1998 ($999 each)
*Sharing one bed. This has changed from previous retreats. Double Occupancy Suites may ONLY have a queen bed and no couch. Both occupants will be sewing in the retreat room and have access to all meals, beverages, and snacks.
Double Occupancy with One Re-Treat Attendee*: $1799
*One occupant of the room will be sewing in the retreat room. Both occupants have access to all meals, beverages, and snacks.
Registration
There will be a $250 deposit required at the time of registration. This non-refundable deposit will be applied to your retreat payment. The balance will be due in October.
All retreat payments are non-refundable but are transferrable (less the $250 non refundable deposit made at the time of registration). Full refunds will be made only in the unlikely event Material Girls or Kalahari cancels the function.
Registration will open on May 8, 2024, at 9:30am (EST) VIA our website ONLY.

We will continue to take reservations until we are at capacity. Once the event is at capacity, we will open the waitlist.
Please don't get discouraged if you have to go on the waitlist. In the last few retreats, we were able to accommodate
the waitlist in the weeks leading up to the event.
If you were able to complete your online transaction on 5/8/2024, you have a reserved seat. Material Girls will contact you with a more detailed registration form to finalize all payment details.
You can pay in full at any time . We are allowing you to break the retreat into two payments- the first payment is due by July 1 and the second payment is due by September 1.
